JARED ARMSTRONG

Jared Armstrong is a professional basketball player, currently playing for Elizur Ashkelon in Israel. Born in Philadelphia, since the age of three, basketball has been Jared's best friend. At an early age, Jared decided he wanted to dedicate his life to basketball and use basketball as a tool throughout his life. Throughout the high school ranks, Jared found out he was born with a rare foot impairment (Tarsal Coalition), which caused him to miss his opportunity to play division one basketball.

Jared was still able to have huge success throughout his injury. Before transferring to Fork Union Military Academy for his senior year, Jared scored over 1,000 points in ONLY three years at Dock Mennonite Academy. Jared was the first one to achieve this accomplishment in BAL and school history. After transferring, Jared played a key role in helping Fork Union win the regular season championship, which was not accomplished in over a decade. They ended up losing in the Virginia State Quarterfinals to Cape Henry Collegiate, who ended up winning the championship.

After graduating from Fork Union, Jared decided to attend post-graduate school at Mt. Zion Prep in Baltimore, MD. Jared helped Mt. Zion finish the season with the best record in school history (30-5). Also, they finished ranked #5 in the USA, as all twelve players went on to play college basketball. Jared attracted schools from the Big Ten Conference, Big 12, and ACC conference. Throughout his career, his foot continued to worsen and made the decision to get foot surgery.

Jared graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Physical Activity & Fitness Management Degree. During his two-year stint at Slippery Rock Jared finished #1 in three-point percentage at (43.1%), number five in three-pointers made, T-1st for three-pointers made in a two-year stint, T-4th for most points scored in a game (40). Jared's team during his junior year hold the longest winning streak in school history (13) wins, including a win over #2 ranked IUP.

After graduation, Jared was offered a multi-year deal to play basketball in Winner League (1st) in Israel, upon receiving his Israeli citizenship. Jared went on a two-year hiatus fight with the Israeli government for his right back to his homeland. During his fight, Jared created Who Would of Thought Enterprises LLC, where he has worked with hundreds of players of all ages and levels to help them expand their basketball game.

Jared is an active member of his community.

After Jared's junior year of college, he decided to film a documentary of his journey. The trials and tribulations he went throughout his career and how he continue to strive to be the best!
